Saw music Research for our film

Making music for the film.

Our group really need to get started with our music. We know the type of music we want which is dark and creepy. Whist
re-seacrching different music I found the music in saw 8. I played the music with the our edited film and i thought it sounded really good! obviously we wouldn't be able to copy right this, but could probably re-create this.

I really find the Saw music creepy, it starts off slow and quiet and then after 8 seconds it adds a slight beat and that beat is repeated every four seconds until 22 seconds into the music when a louder beat is added these beats are very scary cause they are not expected in the calm music, and therefore make the listener jump when they happen. The music almost sounds like a heartbeat. At 1:35 in the music it really slows down after getting louder and louder before this and then gets louder again at 2:15 in the song this contrast between the loud and quite is exactly what I think we should use in my groups film, especially when we are showing the different scenes so the quite scenes when it is just showing the victim before she is unaware that the killer is in the house and then the louder part when it focuses on the killer.
