In today's lesson I started to edit our preliminary exercises on Imovie.
It was very funny looking back on our film and how many faults we had; luckily they can be edited out! I have no regrets in what we chose to do for the task; as we had allot of enjoyment doing it. A few groups had already finished editing their tape and was on YouTube! I aim get ours uploaded by next lesson' hopefully. So far we are about half way through which is very good!
I also am looking forward to shooting our actual film!
Watching other group's preliminary exercise made me realise there were many things I had to learn from before me group and I actually start filming our two minute film. I've realised it is actually quite difficult to get the audio in time with the clip. The preliminary was only about 20 seconds and it's already taken us a day to edit half; so its going to take up an enormous amount of time editing to get our film spot on.
I've also learnt that when filming our actual film we'll have to take as much footage as possible; also making sure we know which take Is which scene. This will make the editing process much easier so we won't have to go back an find each section.
On our preliminary we had a story board to follow which is here. (This is the original):
From looking at this story board I've noticed it has changed to our ideas now; so in the actual film we'll have to create an in depth storyboard and follow it. This will make filming much easier as you can refer back to it and know exactly where you are.
Hope fully our pleminary task will be up shortly!
